This condition is most often seen in patients with asthma or cystic fibrosis and can lead to progressive lung damage if not diagnosed early.

Why is the ABPA Panel Test Required?

The ABPA Panel helps clinicians confirm or rule out ABPA in patients showing persistent respiratory symptoms that do not respond to standard asthma or infection treatments. Early detection is essential to prevent complications such as bronchiectasis and pulmonary fibrosis.

Components of the ABPA Panel

The ABPA Panel typically includes a combination of immunological markers that indicate allergic and immune response to Aspergillus:

4. Eosinophil count (in some panels)
