The Contract Labour (Regulation and Abolition) Act, 1970 no longer exists as a standalone law. It was repealed when the Occupational Safety, Health and Working Conditions (OSH) Code, 2020 came into force on 21 November 2025, and the Central Rules under the Code followed on 8 May 2026.
